The paintings in Arifs gallery are inspired by her travels across the world and in particular the East Anglian coastline.
The inspiration for these works often starts from a memory or using a photograph as a reference point. From there on her aim is to capture the essence of the landscape, highlighting the different tonal and mood effects that light has on nature.
She has always been fascinated and mesmerised… by the ocean and the ever changing light on the landscape depending on the season. Arifs aim is to create artworks that capture the awe-inspiring emotion that a dramatic landscape evokes.
A varnish top coat is applied to protect from pollutants and offer UV filtering to ensure the longevity of the art.

U.K. painter Rachel Arif has exhibited work throughout the United Kingdom. Working with oil paints, often in autumnal colors, Arif paints quickly, pouring much of herself into each work. Arif is deeply inspired by nature, she paints atmospheric weather-filled seascapes as well as landscapes inspired by rural villages. Arif's works capture the power and glory of the natural world- they are graceful, elemental, and pulsing with texture.
