About this artwork
In this work, I fused objects, plastic, paper, cardboard and beads to create an exuberant sculpture that explores emotional complexity. Lebanese painter and sculptor Rachel K. says she was "born with a pencil in her hand" and was drawn to art from a very early age. Excited by mixed media art, Rachel K. creates pieces that combine, paper-maché, paint, fiber collage, pearls and vintage toys that she finds in flee markets. Rachel’s universe is colorful, she combines bright oil paints and found objects to create modern and eclectic works.
