About this artwork
This piece from my SOIL series presents language at its most desperate - "I Love You" repeated until it becomes mechanical, compulsive, empty.
On the left, chaotic marks blur and dissolve, gestural and frantic. On the right, the phrase "I Love You" is laser-etched in relentless rows, like a transmission sent over and over, hoping for confirmation that never comes.
The contrast is brutal. Human emotion reduced to protocol. A message dispatched but… never received, or received so many times it loses all weight.
I layer fluid abstraction with machine-precision text. The words should carry meaning, intimacy, connection - but repetition turns them into noise. The laser burns them into the surface permanently, yet they feel hollow.
This is how we communicate now. Sending the same signals, performing affection, documenting feelings instead of feeling them. The dispatch goes out, logged and timestamped, but no one's on the other end.
I Love You. Again. And again. Until it means nothing.
