About this artwork
In this piece, I wanted to capture the calm and tension that coexist in an aerial environment, using oil paint to bring every detail to life. The figure of the airplanes, with their imposing presence, conveys a sense of power and anticipation. My intention was for the viewer to feel both contained energy and serenity, like a sigh before takeoff. This piece will fill your space with mystery and restrained movement.
The scene is completely invented… by the artist who has already accumulated more than 250 painting awards in Spain.
« I think I won't have enough life to finish starting to paint. As I move forward and progress I realize there is still MORE to say. »
Rafael Carrascal García is an award-winning Spanish painter who has extensively exhibited throughout Spain, as well as in China. While working as a draftsman and technical architect, he never abandoned his passion for painting and the desire to express the subconscious. Now, as a professional artist, García’s works explore atmospheric landscapes that are filled with fantastical elements. When creating, he uses mixed media such as oils and acrylics, painting outside as much as possible.
