About this artwork
The painting "Window View" shows a view from a hotel window in Barcelona onto the back of an apartment building. I created this painting based on a sketch I made during a stay in this fascinating city. My thoughts were on the question of how much individuality and conformity our living space or housing situation allows.

Rainer Bergmann is a painter who runs a studio for figurative painting and, until 2025, a consulting practice for supervision and coaching. These two areas intertwine and enrich each other. In both fields, the focus is on humanity and its core themes. He works with oil and acrylic on canvas, his background rooted in Byzantine icon painting. His style is influenced by figurative painting, traditional glazing techniques, French Impressionists, and contemporary realists. His works convey profound reflections on identity, relationships, and existential questions, inviting the viewer to engage in intensive dialogue and personal exploration.
