Ballooning - 3D animation
A nighttime balloon ride has a special appeal. Both the illuminated balloons and the nighttime landscape with the residential lights and the scattered lights on the horizon. This moving object awakened in me the desire to move away from the static 2D perspective and into 3D. With the basket frame and burner in the foreground, as well as the balloons in the field of view, spatial depth is created. If a person is taken in… front of the picture, it appears as if the person is actually riding in the balloon. Using acrylic paints, I captured the energy and freedom of ascending. The expression of the colors and shapes symbolizes passion and new beginnings. This work is intended to bring joy and optimism into any space, while expressing the power of dreaming and letting go. It is an invitation to venture to new heights with ease.
