About this artwork
An oak trunk, supported by a curved square iron, resting on a 100-year-old greeting-iron ring, a furrow filled with pewter, a polished, exotic stone in the crown, encased in cactus tissue. The object is about the transience and decay of life how something unintentionally changes, is changed over time. Nature has its own tools, something new is created when something dissolves, just like that. And so there are rudimentary wing tips, like an angel,…
with umpteen (drilled) holes, as if shot, whose life was stolen. - Every day reporters are murdered, among other things, people who are socially committed, who work like good angels in our society. I amplified, emphasized and worked out the natural changes, poured tin fluently (the bleeding wound), put a crown on him and inflicted "gunshot wounds", a memorial to these people and life.
