The candles in the churches at the feet of Mary and the battered statues in the markets, touch me. She is a saint but also a mother who loves all of mankind. Near and touchable. Beloved and never feared.
What’s not to love about her even for atheists? And… who wouldn’t fight for her?

Ralph Posset is a painter and sculptor based in the Netherlands where his pieces have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions.
