About this artwork
An innovative and unprecedented series made up of a group of works made on a palm fibre support, which the artist intertwines and uses as a canvas. Ramón Juan draws on nature itself to create a second skin of the palm tree, which allows him to subsequently express himself. This canvas born from the palm tree is the hallmark of his origins. In this series, the artist uses his works as an inner cleansing. The aim is not to express or capture his feelings…
but to get rid of as many of them as possible in order to begin and allow a new stage to flourish, full of other sensations that allow him to continue with his artistic evolution and inner growth. This group of works was presented for the first time at the exhibition “Roots of experimental expressionism” that took place in the Villanueva Pavilion of the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid.
