About this artwork
The baddest story of them all! God Mode Trilogy is a triptych painting inspired by the history of humans, how we roam the earth and not always in a good way. We live as kings and queens and sometimes see ourselves as gods. I painted this story from a very abstract and sarcastic point of view. The left painting has sort of a male king, the middle one a female queen and the right painting devilish figures. There are several items which reminds us of… the consumption society we created. It is not meant as a dark story, but more a realistic, sarcastic and slightly cynical point of view.
This artwork was selected for a Special Platform Project at the Affordable Art Fair 2021 in Amsterdam. It was viewed by over twenty-thousand people over a period of five days.
The style is a combination of neo-expressionism, abstract-expressionism and pop art.
It is painted with several kinds of acrylic and spray paints, oil stick and graffiti ink.
« I focus on contrast and balance within the chaos of color. »
