About this artwork

This is inspiried by the global Covid-19 situation and every thought I have around it. It is meant as a funny, sarcastic doodle painting. A blend of thoughts, facts, funny ideas and phrases. I like to add a bit of humor in the artwork. Along with a bit of hope and different perspective it is what we need in these times. We are all struck by this pandemic and there I am trying to make the most of it. No matter how bad something is, it is always important… we can look back after a while and still have a smile on our faces.
The main figure is the virus, but in a cute shape. The painting itself has a specially blended matt varnish, combined with automotive flakes. These flakes react strongly to sunlight. And due to the added flakes the painting has an amazing pop and glitter effect. A real eyecatcher!
