Plant inspiration – Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden
Here, flowers don't grow; they persist. No longer rooted in the earth, but suspended in a tangle of illusions, they emerge like lingering thoughts, shards of a world that perhaps never existed. The work doesn't show, it evokes. It doesn't describe, it questions.
The inverted geometric pattern becomes the matrix of an ancient dream. The unreal colors seem to come from a memory we have not experienced.… Everything is a trace, an imprint, the negative of a forgotten gesture. And yet, something resists: an inner flowering, a hope that refuses to be silenced.
This painting is a meditation on survival. On that which, even erased, continues to radiate. On the forms which, deprived of their light, find in the shadows another way of existing. Perhaps this is what weaving is: keeping alive the possibility of a world, even when its colors have faded.
