Plant inspiration – Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden
What seemed bright is receding.
The colors reverse, the landmarks waver, and life appears differently, as if seen from the reverse side of the world.
The butterfly remains, but its gesture is no longer innocent. It explores a material that has become nocturnal, traversed by lines that no longer decorate: they structure, constrain, reveal. The interlacing, now dominant, evokes a hidden cartography,… a silent mechanism where fragility persists despite the tension.
In this inverted version, nectar is no longer a promise but a question.
What do we actually absorb when we feed on the world?
And what remains of life when the light changes sides?
This work invites us to look differently, not to understand, but to accept that all beauty has its reverse side, and that sometimes, it is in the shadows that the structure reveals itself.
