Plant inspiration – Jean-Marie Pelt Botanical Garden
A single flower rises, fragile and sovereign, as if placed in an invisible vase. Yet it does not stand alone: its momentum is that of two forces coming together, of a shared breath that finds its form in the corolla.
The background, woven with patterns and resonances, acts as a secret chamber where connections are formed. The flower then becomes a sign of alliance: a union of the vegetal and… the geometric, the visible and the invisible, the instant and eternity.
In this apparent simplicity, the work reveals a subtle tension: the solitude of a single-flower vase and the fullness of a union. As if, in this minimal gesture, the infinity of possibilities were condensed.
Raphaël Galante, a mathematics teacher and art lover, uses photography and digital technology. Using geometry, he manipulates tilings via software that he embeds in his photographs. Each work becomes a harmonious fusion of precise shapes and natural beauty. As for his emotions, a serene tranquility is revealed, a feeling of calm that permeates the observer.
