About this artwork
Here curved lines are banned. Surprising from an artist who makes it his main subject. And yet, the curves are present, but are only an illusion.
This painting of graphic appearance is in two-color blues. Composed only of segments, the ribbon appears here in vector form, giving it an industrial side, without depriving it of its lightness or its movement.
Another novelty also in this table, the insertion of a square in the background. Rigid in shape,… it softens the ribbon by creating a contrast of shapes.

« My painting is all curves, colors, and the joy of living. It winds us up, unrolls us, unravels us with a common thread: the ribbon. »
Raphael Gaudin is an artist based in Poland whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in Morocco. The central theme in his art is life, which he explores through sinuous lines that express harmony, honoring feminity. In Gaudin's pieces, each curve has a beginning and birth. Inspired by calligraphy and Celtic interlacing, he most often creates using acrylics on canvas.
