About this artwork
A Storm Withour Permission Original oil painting by Annette O Reilly under the name Raven Dubh
@Raven Dubh all rights are reserved
A Storm Without Permission explores the moment when chaos can no longer be contained. A violent sea surges beyond the boundaries of its frame, spilling into the physical world and dissolving the line between image and reality. The storm does not ask to be released it simply arrives
Annette O Reilly, originally from Dublin and trained at the Burren College of Art, primarily paints in oils under the name Raven Dubh, channeling her deep connection to the wild landscapes of the West of Ireland. She masterfully blends tones to create gothic fantasy works, often working in black and white with a striking splash of color to enhance emotion and contrast, evoking mystery and depth through symbolism and atmospheric storytelling. Her art radiates a haunting sense of dark beauty, inviting the viewer to experience emotion, transformation, and reflection within the interplay of light and shadow. I feature in the visual Art Journal issue 49. Please feel free to look at my website https://www.ravendubh.com/
