About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I harnessed the tactile versatility of plaster to celebrate the energy of assemblage art. Each fragment embodies a vibrant narrative, collectively constructing a harmonious form. It's a tangible manifestation of unity within diversity, designed to invigorate any space with its dynamic presence and thought-provoking complexity.

« If collage is a juxtaposition of different forms and ideas, re-contextualized to create a new whole, then I would assert that all art is collage. »
Ray Beldner is a printmaker and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. Much of his pieces have either sampled, borrowed from, or have paid homage to the work of historically significant artists. In addition, Beldner is fascinated by the relationship between "high crafts" such as painting, drawing, and sculpture with "low unheralded crafts" like sewing and collage.
