About this artwork
In creating this tactile assemblage, I maneuvered plaster into a dance of textures and colors, aiming to evoke a sense of geological wonder. It's a homage to nature's resilience and beauty, inviting contemplation and conversation. Its presence exudes an eclectic energy that can enliven any space with a touch of the earth's deep, diverse essence.

« If collage is a juxtaposition of different forms and ideas, re-contextualized to create a new whole, then I would assert that all art is collage. »
Ray Beldner is a printmaker and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. Much of his pieces have either sampled, borrowed from, or have paid homage to the work of historically significant artists. In addition, Beldner is fascinated by the relationship between "high crafts" such as painting, drawing, and sculpture with "low unheralded crafts" like sewing and collage.
