About this artwork
In this collage, I wanted to capture the fragmented beauty of memories and dreams. The abstraction comes from those flashes of thought that escape before being fully formed; each piece a whisper of a narrative. The textures and colors merge, suggesting a dance of experience and imagination, meant to evoke a sense of curiosity and contemplation in the viewer. This artwork brings a touch of enigma, coaxing forth the untold stories that lie within.

Ray Beldner is a printmaker and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. Much of his pieces have either sampled, borrowed from, or have paid homage to the work of historically significant artists. In addition, Beldner is fascinated by the relationship between "high crafts" such as painting, drawing, and sculpture with "low unheralded crafts" like sewing and collage.
