About this artwork
The Mirror Series:
This collection serves as a reflection, much like a mirror. What you perceive is influenced by your surroundings, urging you to trust your senses.
This collage is crafted not to convey a specific message but to mirror the emotions of the moment. Using paper cutouts of similar shapes, I arrange them geometrically, inviting viewers to witness how perceptions shift with a single glance.
I believe many people have had conversations… during their childhood where they looked at wood grain or cloud formations and exclaimed, "It looks like a fish! It's a bird! That part looks like a face and it's scary!" This sense of playfulness reflects the pure creativity inherent in everyone.
Through the interplay of emotions, physical state, and daily events, each piece becomes a snapshot of the viewer's inner world—a mirror reflecting their essence in that precise moment. This perspective, fundamental to my artistic ethos, finds expression through collage in the Mirror Series.
