About this artwork
One of my all-time favorite pics I’ve posted was of me floating in the ocean at sunset (in a really sweet crochet bikini with shells). The ocean was super calm, and the hues all blended together perfectly. Well, it only took me 7 years of looking at that pic to realize how sweet a painting of it could be. So here you go. Sunset Snuggles. A relaxing gift from the sea.

Rebekah Steen is a Florida-based painter whose work celebrates color, light, and the emotional pull of place. With a BFA from the University of Iowa and further studies at the Leo Marchutz School of Art in France, her art reflects a deep connection to travel, nature, and the feeling of being somewhere sun-soaked and alive.
Working primarily in watercolor, Rebekah uses impressionistic techniques, expressive lines, and layered color to create one-of-a-kind pieces that feel vibrant, joyful, and immersive. Each painting is an invitation to slow down, feel the warmth of the sun, the soothing magic of the ocean, dream of tropical escapes, and, if anything, to live colorfully.
Her motto, “Painting what I’m craving and sharing the sunshine,” perfectly captures her approach, which has earned her a global community of collectors and admirers. You can find all of her work and prints at goldfishkissgoods.com
