About this artwork
Unearthed invites you to explore the depths of your inner world through a captivating abstract painting. This piece features striking, sculptural textures that evoke the look of aged pewter, a testament to the artist's unique technique. Layers of acrylic paint on canvas are built up to create a rich, tactile surface, reminiscent of an archaeological dig.
The inspiration behind Unearthed delves into the profound act of self-excavation, uncovering… the hidden treasures within our own psyches. It's an abstract exploration of what lies beneath the surface, a visual metaphor for understanding our inner landscapes. The interplay of blues and bronze tones adds a sense of mystery and discovery.

« I embrace life: dark and light. We are messy, failing, wailing, and beautiful creatures. Take that away and we fit too perfectly into the algorithms trying to box us in. »
Redin Winter, an American painter, has exhibited her works across the United States. Each of her series has a specific theme or expressiveness at their core. Winter’s abstract and semi-abstract compositions fulfill her need as an artist to construct and release narratives onto canvas. She finds inspiration not in the objects represented in art, but in the space where artists create and objects or stories exist.
