About this artwork
LUMEN is a luminous sculpture depicting a flower, crafted from tightly woven wire, irregularly coated with cotton paper pulp. This treatment creates evocative oxidation effects, alternating solids and voids that give the form a vibrant, organic feel.
The work is fitted with 120 LED lights, highlighting the graphic pattern of the weaving and transforming the sculpture into a poetic, pulsating, and almost living presence. The surface is completed… with oil paint, pastels, and small fragments of gold leaf, which add iridescent reflections to the internal luminosity.
The base is made of a wooden trunk, also decorated and covered with paper pulp, in harmony with the material of the sculpture.
The work is delivered in its personalized packaging, made of sewn jute bags, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and protected by rigid packaging.
