About this artwork
I created this work with acrylic paints and chalk to capture the innocence and wonder of a small dream world.
The Dreamer belongs to the "Cat Colony" series, a collection that explores the feline world as a mirror of human emotions. In this painting, the protagonist is a white cat, pure and ethereal, seemingly suspended between reality and dream. In the background, a deep blue sky is crossed by repeated handwritten writing, almost like a visual… mantra, evoking the intimate and mysterious dimension of nocturnal thought.
The crescent moon and stars, rendered in a simple and symbolic form, add a poetic glow, contrasting with the sobriety of the white. The work plays with the languages of minimalism and naïve art, combining formal simplicity and symbolic depth.
It is an invitation to rediscover the purity of the soul and bring playful light and warmth into your home.
I'm a self-taught painter, and what sets me apart is my free and instinctive use of color, which in my work is layered to create dense textures and crowded urban landscapes. I began with more spontaneous and light-hearted works, then evolved towards a more conscious and critical approach. At the same time, I explore abstraction with works inspired by Pollock and Rothko. My Cities are born from abstract foundations. The City as a complex organism that reflects the contradictions of our time. My series explore three great fragilities: the vulnerability of cities to climate change, the wounds inflicted by man through wars and manipulated ideologies, and the inequalities between glittering centers and forgotten peripheries. I paint universal, non-geographic cities as a metaphor for the human condition: places that bear the hopes, scars, and tensions of our time.
