About this artwork
In "Tuscany, Asciano," he interprets one of the most iconic landscapes of the Val d'Orcia through intense and luminous palette knife painting. Painted en plein air, the painting captures the immediacy of the moment: the light gliding over the hills, the wind stirring the grass, the clear air defining the horizon.
The spatula constructs the landscape with rich textures and decisive strokes, transforming the hills into living, dynamic surfaces. The… golden hues of the fields blend with the deep greens of the cypress trees and the blue hues of the sky, creating a chromatic balance that conveys the essential beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
Asciano, with its soft curves and unmistakable light, becomes a place of tranquility and energy at the same time: a landscape that breathes, that welcomes, that invites contemplation.
The work celebrates Tuscany as a sensorial and spiritual experience, combining the spontaneity of the plein air with the expressive power of the palette knife.
