About this artwork
This painting tells of an ancient farewell unfolding in the depths of the universe. The bright yellow mass at the bottom is a massive star that has reached the end of its life. The crimson form above it is like a cosmic hand reaching down—a nebula waiting to gather the star’s scattered remnants and shape new worlds.
The artist has applied the brush with firm, deliberate strokes. These marks convey the chaotic yet mesmerizing power of a cosmic explosion… directly to the viewer. As the paint spreads across the surface, the colors blend into one another in a soft, fluid way, evoking not a rigid structure but the natural merging of gaseous clouds. In some areas, the paint has been thinned to preserve the light of the underlying layers, adding both depth and a sense of lightness to the work.
The bold and harmonious use of color gives the painting a vivid, living spirit.

Rezan Ozger is a Turkish painter living in New Jersey. After a successful legal career, she dedicated her life to painting. She has worked with renowned artists and received training in drawing, composition, color, and oil painting techniques. Ozger believes that life is a continuous movement from the micro-universe to the macro-universe, but that we can only capture moments. Her portraits, horses, cosmological studies, and others all reflect these captured moments. Between 2004 and 2020, Ozger held 25 solo and many group exhibitions in Turkey.
