German painter Rhea Standke was born in 1972 in Dresden. She completed her training as a ceramist 1992-1995 and studied free painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe 1996-2002, where she graduated with a diploma. From 2002 to 2006 she also studied painting at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf under Prof. Herbert Brandl.
