Bridge I. A semi abstract acrylic paintings with a small amount of collage embellishments. Drawn from a recent visit to Hamptonne Woods in Jersey. The view has been reduced in complexity and the forms semi abstracted. Still keeping it's sense of warmth and location. The panel has been left unvarnished and is strung straight to hang.

One of the key themes in Rian Hotton's art is his choice of palette, with which he happily takes risks. While he paints, Hotton listens to audiobooks on a wide range of topics, which influences the subjects of his pieces, almost as if they are a visual diary. He describes his painting style as 'boldly unorthodox', using both oils and acrylics.
