About this artwork
it is springtime in Australia. I completed this painting a few days ago and from my studio I look out on a beautiful eucalypt forest. The birds are busy making their nests in preparation for their next round of offspring. The shrubs in our garden are flowering as the spring weather warms. The citrus trees are covered in blossom and I can hear the bees humming over the blooms. It is such a joyous time of year where everything becomes new again. it…
is like we get another chance at life. This painting which I called Printemps, attempts to show that the gloom has lifted and colour and light ire back.
