About this artwork
This work is of an area of New Zealand Bush beside the Waikato River and the popular tourist attraction " the Huka Falls", a stunning river waterfall. In the middle of painting there is a small hint of the rich blue water of the river slightly downstream of the falls, that can be seen through the rich greens of the bush foliage. This spot, is a still quite contrast, to the noise of the powerful falls not too far away.
In crafting this verdant vista,… I harnessed a palette of lush greens and textured strokes to encapsulate the vitality and tranquility of the forest. Each leaf and tree trunk is painted to mirror the serene and untouched beauty of nature, inviting the viewer to experience a moment of calm and connection to the earth. This artwork is an ode to the deep, quiet spaces where nature speaks softly through light and shadow.
