About this artwork
The Zapp Notes refer to this place and time we live in.
In these works I try to indicate the contrast between intensity of the moment and ‘everywhere’ Zapp behaviour.
The world we live in a nutshell and one should be part of it and everything is online and everyone is plugged-in.
The time and space where we (in the Western world) are desperately depending on electronic devices, that provide our needs.
By indication I mean underlining the moment… one lives in and zapp behaviour (the title of this project).
The lack of focus for a longer time on one subject.
It seems as if time online consists of one click here, one click there, ending up with a superficial knowledge and intake of the subject.
Already desperate that one might miss the latest of what’s on.
By transforming these thoughts into images I give way to my disturbing questions about this behaviour.
