In these works I try to indicate the contrast between intensity of the moment and ‘everywhere’ Zapp behaviour.
The world we live in a nutshell and one should be part of it and everything is online and everyone is plugged-in.
The time and space where we (in the Western world) are desperately depending on electronic devices, that provide our needs.

Riedstra is a painter, photographer and draftsman who resides in the Netherlands. She has exhibited her works in the United Kingdom, the United States and several European countries. Riedstra translates her awareness and estrangement she encounters in society, as well as her experiences living abroad and travelling, into her works. When painting, she prefers using oil and acrylic on canvas.
