About this artwork
This piece is a dance of textures and emotion, a symphony of oil, watercolor, and cement that speaks of nature's fleeting beauty amidst man's constructs. I poured my soul into capturing the essence of growth and decay, the dialogue between the organic and the built. It's realism infused with the raw edge of expressionism, a semi-abstract celebration of form and splatter. In your home, it will whisper tales of resilience and the delicate balance of… our existence.

Riemer Den Ouden is an artist based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been featured in both solo and group exhibitions nationally. The central themes present in his works are the contrasts between light and dark, rhythm, and expressive carelessness. Den Ouden's pieces fuse the rawness of reality with the poetry of religion and spirituality. Creating mostly with oils, he investigates figuration while also searching for abstract rhythms.
