About this artwork
So Close describes the divide that can sometimes keep people separated. Sometimes the expanse is simple or can be a deep rushing chasm like the divide of a river. However there is always hope that the gap can be bridged, which is why the painting is called So Close. The central element is made with dried paint.

Rika Maja Duevel is a painter/mixed media artist from Stavanger, Norway living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her artwork manifests from her daily experiences, capturing the moment through an introverted lens. A focus on her own female experience and the journey and deeper research into the concept of the Introverted Artist, the unseen soul.
