About this artwork
The artist plays here with the black outline, a reminder of his childhood loves, comics and cartoons. The void is part of this composition, revealing the necessary balance with the full parts. The work is built around the inferiority complex, with the image of the animal skin rug which would be made of our own skin, being walked on without us being able to do anything about it. This is reminiscent of daily life events where we allow things to be…
done or said that are not acceptable, hurting our ego in small ways.
