About this artwork
In creating this piece, I embraced the raw, emotive energy of expressionism, blended with the fluidity and depth of abstract art. My use of acrylics and India ink allows for intense textural contrasts and bold, sweeping motions, capturing a storm of emotions. This painting delves into the tumultuous interplay between confusion and clarity, uncertainty and enlightenment. It is meant to evoke thought and stir the soul, bringing a dynamic energy into…
any space it inhabits.

Rita Thorp, a seasoned visual artist, employs mixed mediums like acrylics, collages, and inks, and her background is steeped in tactile creativity. Her abstract technique is especially remarkable; she guided by intuition, often embedding asemic writing, and evoking an imaginative and playful chaos. Each artwork bridges the gap of human experiences ranging from joy to sorrow, aiming to provide solace, stir inspiration, and offer viewers novel insight or a reflection of themselves.
