About this artwork
This work is part of the Horizon series. In earlier works, the series primarily employed deep blues reminiscent of the sea near my hometown. After coming to live by the shores of Lake Biwa, however, the palette gradually evolved toward softer, warmer tones inspired by sunsets sinking into freshwater.
