Riyona Nito is a Japanese painter whose abstract works flow from the landscapes and subtle atmospheres of her childhood in Kochi and her present surroundings in Shiga. She employs layered color, soft brushwork, and gestural marks tied to her own breathing, balancing control and spontaneity. Her paintings evoke transient moments, offering viewers gentle spaces for introspection, memory, and reflection, where emotions unfold quietly and sensations linger as delicate presences.
