« The concept is gemination: ”No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.” -Heraclitus of Ephesus. »
Roanne O'Donnell is an award-winning Scottish painter and draftsman whose work has been exhibited in the United Kingdom, Spain, Norway, and Germany. The subject of her work is inextricably linked to the process of making it, which includes concepts and actions of limitation, restriction, and repetition. Describing herself as a 'process painter', O'Donnell limits her materials to ivory black pigment, graphite, and charcoal, using cold wax and oil as binders on paper.
