About this artwork
I synchronised two artistic 'treatments' - my gestural version of a film still, and an abstract area of the canvas. This partly alludes to a film's negative having shifted out of place, and simply as a contrast to the figurative section of the painting. This is one of several paintings using film stills - particularly of the western film genre.
