About this artwork
The familiar highly detailed and realistic avian subjects the artist is best know for creating are reproduced as the finest quality wright and co canvas.
The artist then digitally maps out a plan to rework the art piece as a reimagined graffiti work. - the artist's signature magnolias and his indecipherable graffiti language are fused with queer cultural symbols… including anchors, crowns and rainbows.
Flash-Boi the Budgie is crowned by an ornate yet deliberately loosely painted crown and encircled by graffiti and Magnolias.
An anchor sits amid the garden of abstract flowers and partially conceals a melting rainbow.
A love and admiration for the soft delicate beauty of nature is juxtaposed with a lust for luxury creating a dichotomy between the various objects in the artwork.
This artwork is custom float framed in Vic Ash natural finish timber by a local Brisbane artisan framer.
