About this artwork
Paris, Place de la Concorde, in broad afternoon, in the month of March. I am looking straight at the sun. The many street lamps in the square, illuminated by the sun, seem to be sources of light themselves, like daytime lamps. A double-decker tourist bus with the top down places its passengers at the level of the street lamps. It itself receives the full force of the sun's fire, so that it becomes as if set on fire: a walking and almost sonorous…
