This piece was part of a series that began in the summer of 2020 during Covid. This piece offers simplicity, concrete thought and structure. Which internally most of us desired at the time. Each piece in the series relies on one color that is associated with a fruit/vegetable in our environment. Something stable recognizable and familiar to the viewer. Over this monochromatic color base are grid hard edged lines painted in various patterns…
typically in a horizontal or vertical direction. The motifs are text elements custom designed to add element of mystery. The canvas edges are finished for completeness. Each canvas is wired and ready to be hung in the direction displayed.
