About this artwork
This is a playful abstraction of hundreds of loose short brushstrokes. In order to accomplish this technique I affixed an extension to my paint brush of approximately 4ft which put me at a distance from my palette and easel. I dipped randomly into the palette and made quick short gestural strokes with my brush lettng my body guided the movements. Mid way through the process orange orbs started to emerge from the canvas as if they were emerging…
from a gaseous other worldly cloud. I began to selectively enhance this design element while still utilizing the extended brush technique until I reached a successful conclusion. The canvas also has a light texture under painting as well which is visible in some of the pictures. The entire piece is finished in a semi gloss to give it extra depths and layers. This is a gallery wrapped canvas with the edges finished in black. The artist signature is on the right edge.
