About this artwork
This piece started with layers of gesso for light rounded texture, followed with layers of modeling paste and netting. Each layer added and adjusted as the composition slowly builds from the surface. Distinct areas of the canvas the molding paste is three dimensional and sculpture in it's quality as it rises from the canvas and through the netting. Subsequent layers of brightly saturated violets,oranges and yellows are painted wet in wet to connect…
the colors. Additional layers of dry brushing are added to the upper most surfaces to enhance the three dimensional qualities and to go highlight the focal points. With additional signature mark makings the viewers eyes are led around the canvas to discover interesting aspects of the piece. This canvas is gallery wrapped and ready to hang. The edges are finished in black with artist signature on right edge.
