About this artwork
This canvas involves several layers of modeling paste, stucco and gel medium layered on with a palette knife. Over this acrylic paint in colors of blues, turquoise and white are painted wet and wet on the canvas. Additional art crayon was added for line development and movement of the piece. This piece is inspired by my time in the Caribbean and how the water and atmosphere are imagined in my mind. Additionally the canvas is painted on the edges…
