About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the tension between freedom and survival. The eagle and the doe dance in a fragile balance, symbolizing strength and vulnerability. The oil texture brings a tactile depth, while the surreal style reveals a world where emotions take flight. Hanging this canvas invites a vibrant and mysterious energy into your space.
Robert Drolet is an oil painter from Quebec who honed his skills under the tutelage of remarkable teachers. His technique is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail, the subtle interplay of light and shadow, the softening of his brushstrokes, and the harmonious blending of colors. He paints nature, animals, and still lifes, guided by his heartfelt inspiration. In his works, he seeks to breathe life into his subjects and to remind us that each painting vibrates with its own unique energy, capable of deeply moving the attentive viewer.
I have participated in several symposiums and exposiums, I also won the "Jury Prize for the quality of execution of the work" at the Flowers and Gardens Symposium, at the beginning of June 2016 and the "Gold" People's Choice Award in September 2021 at the Art and Harvest Symposium on Île d'Orléans, Quebec and bronze prize and choice of exhibitors (from my peers) in 2022.
