About this artwork
This calligraphy is painted with Japanese sumi ink, acrylic paint on industrial-board. These pieces are not framed, they come rolled up, ready to be framed. Abstract. Fine art. Space.
"These abstract pieces are intended to create a sense of space in ones mind. The contrast between color, the simplicity of the stroke, while feeling a sense of motion is intended to sooth ones mind and being upon seeing."

« Creating a balance of awareness and gentleness, being precise and assertive while remaining loose and non-rigid has always been the razor's edge for me. »
Robert Mann is an artist based in the United States whose works have been exhibited nationally. He cites the main intention of his artistic practice as being the creation of a sense of space, referring to his pieces as "Spacious Art". Mann's hope is to make "a little gap, or space in one's mind, even just for a moment". His preferred mediums are acrylics, India ink, and gilding on canvas.
