About this artwork
The light coming through the slating of the barn created a marvelous pattern on the floor and the work bench provided an interesting collection of shapes and colors to paint. It was done in oils on paper. The oil paint sinks into the paper very quickly allowing additional layers to be added immediately, so that the artist can build up a complex texture in a short space of time.
