About this artwork
This work is inspired on my trips to India. Kannon Boeddha, Quanyin, Quan Yin, Avalokite Shvara, the god with 1000 arms. The color orange, colors of red earth as seen in India. As you can see there are also pumps involved as a sexy contrast. The artist paints layer upon layer.
The creation of the final artwork is like a conversation between the artist and his canvas. Through this slow building process, a clear texture and structure on the surface… is revealed.
